Who are Naturopathic Doctors?
Naturopathic Doctors are medically trained and treat patients naturally. They have a formal education at accredited Naturopath schools, and their education includes in-class lectures, practical sessions, and clinical training. After graduation, they need to pass licensing board exams. They are required to register with local licensing authorities in order to practice Naturopath Medicine. However, they are not regulated in some provinces in Canada. Registered Naturopathic Doctors are required to fulfill designated hours of continuing medical education (CME) activities to update their knowledge and skill. 1. First, do no harm
2. Healing power of nature (vis medicatrix naturae)
3. Identify and treat the cause
4. Doctor as teacher
5. Treat the whole person
